Camp Journeys Presents: Dia de Los Muertos at Moonwater Farm

Join us for a morning of fun as we honor and celebrate the cultural customs and traditions of the holiday .

We will spend the day exploring the significance of the holiday by:

• Learning about the history, purpose and context of the holiday from our youth community leaders.
• Participating in activities that engage learners in the cultural customs and traditions with  floral arranging, arts and crafts, and tamale making.
• Honoring our ancestors and deceased loved ones with an altar ceremony.
• Becoming knowledgeable on how we can appropriately honor, support, and celebrate the occasion with our  LatinX friends.

We welcome you to bring a picture or an image of a deceased loved one that you would like to honor in our altar ceremony. Traditional and customary attire are welcomed!
